Standard contact marking methods can be unreliable for identifying interferences. Tapetrix marks differently. The soft tape is readily deformed by pressure to create precisely shaded marks. Extraneous marks are virtually eliminated. Adjustments are made through the adhered tape with a diamond or stone.
"In my opinion it’s the most accurate method for detecting interferences and refining occlusion – far better than anything else." – Ron Jackson DDS, FAGD, FAACD
The Tapetrix Kit includes different interference locating materials:
- for occlusal interferences of natural dentition or C&B
- for C&B interproximal interferences
- for C&B internal interferences
- for seating inlays and onlays
In addition to interference locating, Tapetrix functions as a matrix strip. It protects adjacent teeth from etchants and resins during composite and veneer procedures, and forms smooth composite margins.
"Tapetrix can shape composite with ease, precision, and control greater than more rigid plastic matrices." – Jeff Nordlander DDS, Prosthodontist
Tapetrix is also used to enhance impression hydraulics. Tapetrix PTFE is specially manufactured for dental applications, unlike ineffective hardware store tapes. It is made in the US under full EPA regulatory compliance.
